Blooming Beautiful – Ireland’s Leading Horticultural Event, Bloom


Here at C&S Sheds we’re rather excited at the prospect of showcasing our range of sheds at Bloom 2018, Ireland’s premier horticultural show.  Bloom 2018 is based on similar formats such as the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and RHS Hampton Court Palace show, in a bid to provide Ireland’s creative garden lovers the same fabulous experience without having to leave the beautiful Emerald Isle.

Bloom 2018 will take place over the June Bank Holiday weekend (31st May – 4th June, 9am – 6pm) at Phoenix Park in Dublin.  There will be plenty of attractions and activities to ensure that Bloom 2018 has something to offer for all the family, including:

  • Physics Busking – a national initiative to promote awareness of science and technology which involves interactive experiments and demos.
  • Budding Bloomers – activities for children which include:
    • Away with the Fairies
    • Scientific Sue
    • Book Clinic
    • Billy Bubbles
    • Clap Handies
    • Little Gardeners Planting Pot
  • Live Entertainment – including TV and radio broadcasts, kids’ entertainments and music on the grass.
  • Bloom Fringe – workshops, street art, community open days, films, foraged food, exhibitions, guerrilla gardening, etc.

The Food Village area of Bloom 2018 is where Ireland’s top food and beverage producers will hold a series of markets showcasing fresh, artisan and organic produce and offer tips on how to use and cook the best fresh produce Ireland has to offer.  For visitors who want a full dining experience, the Café, the Restaurant and the Seafood Bar will be offering loads of yummy treats.
