Your lawnmower is the workhorse of your lawn maintenance operation. Hence, it deserves a good home. However, with its fairly large size and positively awkward shape, finding a suitable storage spot can be a challenge. Here are some things to keep in mind as you decide on a solution for how and where to store a lawnmower.
The Size of Your Lawnmower
Typically, petrol lawnmowers are a bit bigger than the electric ones. If you have limited space, it may be worth it to opt for an electric lawnmower. However, this is not always an option, particularly if you already have a mower. Because the mower will likely be one of the bigger items in your shed, it would be a good idea to prioritize its position. Put it in first, and then build shelving around it to accommodate items that had to be moved. You can also install hooks on the walls to hang things that were previously within the lawnmower’s footprint.

You can also just put the mower on the wall or suspend it from the ceiling. This will keep the floor space open and allow you to store more things in the shed. If you don’t have a wooden shed, you will have to install wood blocking in order to have a surface into which you can screw hooks.
